Web/SEO Technical Manager

Are you a Web developer with a passion for interactive marketing, social media, and app development? Does keeping pace with search engine changes and how they affect your clients’ websites and social media presence energize you? Do you like driving leading practices for your organization? We may have just the job you’re looking for.

Working closely with our content and client strategists, our Web/SEO Technical Managers are responsible for ensuring that DBE remains cutting edge in our delivery of services from a technical perspective. They make strategic and tactical recommendations, develop tools and applications, and vet third-party solutions for DBE and its clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Review client websites for opportunities to increase search-engine performance from technical perspectives (programming, site structure, design)
Provide proactive SEO analysis and technical recommendations for the continuous improvement of our clients’ websites
Conduct web-based competitive research and analysis
Monitor and evaluate KPIs, analyze data for client reporting and performance improvements
Develop blogs, widgets, apps, and dashboard tools for client companies and DBE
Manage technical partner companies’ (web developers, mobile app companies, social tools, etc.) projects for DBE and its clients
Utilize third-party tools, e.g., webmaster tools, HTTP header checking and Firebug
Test and recommend third-party marketing technology applications and functionality
Develop and improve proprietary tools and systems
Keep pace with search engine and social media industry trends and developments and help educate the other team members about their significance

Requirements for the Position

2-4 years’ demonstrable success doing similar work in a company or agency environment (advanced SEO training to be provided on the job by DBE)
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and/or any web programming languages
Modifying existing websites (static — html and dynamic — PHP, ASP, .NET) by applying SEO best practices
Experience with website analytics tools. Google Analytics certification a plus.
Experience working with popular tools and systems: Google Keyword Tool, Google Webmaster Tools, Advanced Web Ranking, SEOmoz, etc.
Proficiency in MS Office

Preferred But Not Required

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Programming, Computer Design or related field preferred.
Knowledge/experience with pay-per-click program management
Knowledge of Wordpress and social media API programming (Facebook, YouTube, etc.)
